This delightful day trip cruises through magnificent fjord scenery to Norway’s only barony, Baroniet Rosendal, established by Danish-Norwegian King Christian V in 1678 and claiming Scandinavia’s smallest castle, from 1665. You can tour the wonderful gardens, or enjoy lunch in the stately manor house before “The Winter’s Tale” gives you jealousy and joy, revenge and romance, loss and discovery, remorse and revelry, and an amazing revelation.
09.00: Depart from Skagenkaien in Stavanger.
10.15: Depart from town of Kopervik.
10.30: Depart from town of Haugesund.
12.30: Arrival Rosendal. Enjoy lunch in the manor house or savor the colors and fragrances of the barony’s famous rose garden.
13.30: English-language performance of “The Winter’s Tale” by The Festival Players Theater Company from the Britain. The 2.5-hour show includes a 30-minute intermission.
About 16.00: A 30-45 minutes tour of the barony.
17.30: Return from Rosendal.
About 21.00: Arrival Stavanger after stops in Haugesund and Kopervik.
