Lysefjord sightseeing

January-April: Wednesday-Sunday at 11:00 a.m. This sightseeing tour takes 3 hours, with the famous Pulpit Rock in the starring role – and a impressive supporting cast of waterfalls, idyllic islands and magnificient scenery. On board our comfortable sightseeing boats there is a sun deck and kiosk. Guiding in several languages. Departures from Skagenkaien in Stavanger.

Wednesday-Sunday at 11:00.
Easter: 14 – 21 April at 11:00
(No departure on 24 and 25 December)

1 – 14 May and 16 – 30 September
Daily at 12:00 a.m.

15 May – 15 September 
Daily at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
(No departure on 17 May)

July and August
Extra departure Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 12:00.

* There must be a minimum of 15 passengers for the boat to depart.

Prices 2014:

  • Adults NOK 450,-
  • Seniors/students NOK 350 ,-
  • Children (4-15) NOK 280,- Free if under 4 years
  • Family tickets NOK 1150,- 2 adults + up to 4 children

Children: Discount for children from 4 to 15 years old. Children under 4 travels free in company with parents. Even though the child travels free it needs a seat reservation!

Family ticket: Includes 2 adults and up to 4 children.

Seniors: Persons above 57 years of age. ID must be presented.
We also give senior discount to blind people with an according person. Deaf blind persons can bring an according person for free.

Students: Students up to the age of 30 with a student ID. ID’s approved: ID made by the school, college or university.

Military: A student discount is given to people serving the army. A valid military ID must be presented.

Group: If 15 people or more travel and pay their ticket together, a 15% discount is given on the ordinary adult ticket. Seats must be reserved. Discounted tickets can not be combined with other discounts.


The Fjords of Norway are declared to be the finest unspoiled travel destination in the world. Lysefjorden and the Pulpit Rock may be the most impressive of them all.

Tickets for the day of departure has to be purchased at Skagenkaien or on board the boat.
